FairFishing

In a region plagued by malnutrition, food insecurity, poverty and crime, fishery has the unique potential to improve nutrition and food security, and create jobs and positive life opportunities. FairFishing works to create better living through fresh fish in the Horn of Africa, and has been acknowledged for creating true impact in a troubled area. Since 2013, we have, among other things, helped create 3000 new jobs in Somaliland, a 300% increase in the income of poor fishers, as well as more food security and better health for the locals. We are fighting hunger, poverty and malnutrition (SDG#1 and #2), while contributing towards more gender equality (SDG#5), decent work (SDG#8), responsible production (SDG#12) - and protecting life below water (SDG#14).
